So I sipped my way through the weekend...

This past weekend started with a chick flick {Something Borrowed} followed by wine flights at one of my favorite spots {Webster's Wine Bar} and ended with mimosa flights with Mom on Sunday. Somewhere in the middle was the first Green City Market of the season {my ultimate happy place} where I sipped coffee and discovered my new favorite flower - a mix between a tulip and a peony, crazy gorgeous. I also discovered a new favorite nail color for Spring {Essie Escapades} while treating my mom to a Mother's Day mani. Saturday night the boyfriend took me on a date to Big Jones in Andersonville, which I highly recommend. It's a upscale, local twist on coastal southern food with the most amazing red velvet I've ever experienced. Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day Weekend!

  1. Sounds like pretty much the most perfect weekend. Cannot wait for Green City Market this weekend. It is my happy place too. And these flowers?? What are they called?

  2. I'm not sure what they're called - the guy literally told me it was a cross between a tulip and a peony. It's the flower tent at the front of the market, the bigger one. Stop by next weekend and grab some, they are so pretty!

  4. I was at Green City Market on Sat, too! I love that place. That combined w/ the beautiful weather today is a great sign we've finally made it to spring. I think I'm going to see Something Borrowed tomorrow-- I'm toying around with the idea of riding my bike to the theatre in Evanston, but am not sure I'll make it alive! The things I'll do for a good chick flick! (and to avoid the gym!)
