Empire State of Mind

My trip to nyc is just around the corner. On my list while I'm there: find a holiday dress, ice skate in Central Park, eat incredibly delicious food, wander aimlessly around Tribeca and stumble into fabulous design shops. Any other suggestions??

Weekend in NYC & the Smyth Hotel

Last year, Bob traveled to NYC for work and I decided to join him for a long weekend. We fell in love with the city. To top it off, his client was the Smyth Hotel in Tribeca. Gorgeous boutique hotel, part of the Thompson group. So, we got to stay there!

We are planning another trip to the Big Apple and a stay at the lovely Smyth Hotel. Any restaurant/non-touristy activity recommendations while we're there? We've already gotten the following:

Freeman's Restaurant

The Chelsea Market - a foodie's dream

This is the penthouse suite. We did not stay here, but wouldn't it be fabulous!?

Wonderfully modern, but cozy rooms {there is a cashmere throw at the end of the bed!}

The bathroom complete with Keihl's products {I've died and gone to heaven}

Santa Barbara Style

I spent a long weekend in Santa Barbara, and I must say, this City Girl could spend some serious time in this laid back beach town.

Yes, this is a tandem bike. Check out the scenery in the left background.

I know this post is all about Santa Barbara, but I did make it to LA to visit some family. I couldn't leave without stopping by my favorite breakfast spot in Beverly Hills, Jack and Jill. If you happen to go, order the mini blueberry muffins to go along with your brunch.

This little vignette is the front counter. Precious!

Wine Country

The BF and I recently returned from our vacation in Northern California. I could go on and on about how gorgeous it was (extremely), the food we ate (Mustards in Napa was my favorite) and the wine we drank (lots), but I want to share one of my favorite vineyards. Frog's Leap is an organic vineyard with beautiful grounds and the decor is fab. Take a look!
