I got a bike! Okay, so I was one of those city dwellers who loathed bike riders when I was driving (they come out of nowhere and I swear I've almost hit one with my car at least five times). The boyfriend had to do a little convincing. He told me we could ride to the farmers market on Saturday mornings and to summer dinners at our favorite outdoor patios in our neighborhood and that we could take the bikes up to the lake house where the scenery is gorgeous (and there are hills, which means getting my butt in shape). So, we went looking, and looking... and then, I saw this beauty. It was love at first sight.

Madewell
This little clutch is great for organizing in a big tote or on its own. And it's a steal for under $50. Well, I'm convinced, I need to get this.
I'm seeing this bag full of farmers market goodies or packed with a towel and sunscreen for a day at the beach.
The perfect chambray shirt. Seriously, that's what it's called.

Cooking with Gwyneth
I recently purchased Gwyneth Paltrow: My Father's Daughter and can not wait to dive into some of these dishes. Not to mention, the photography and simple tableware is gorgeous. The concept is simple food, simply presented - my kind of book.
Speaking of simple deliciousness, Sunday night I made mussels and artichokes with some Manchego cheese with homemade roasted garlic olive oil and baguette to snack on. I love a dinner you can linger over, taking time to eat slowly and enjoy your company. I also love garlic - which there was a lot of...

So I sipped my way through the weekend...
This past weekend started with a chick flick {Something Borrowed} followed by wine flights at one of my favorite spots {Webster's Wine Bar} and ended with mimosa flights with Mom on Sunday. Somewhere in the middle was the first Green City Market of the season {my ultimate happy place} where I sipped coffee and discovered my new favorite flower - a mix between a tulip and a peony, crazy gorgeous. I also discovered a new favorite nail color for Spring {Essie Escapades} while treating my mom to a Mother's Day mani. Saturday night the boyfriend took me on a date to Big Jones in Andersonville, which I highly recommend. It's a upscale, local twist on coastal southern food with the most amazing red velvet I've ever experienced. Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day Weekend!

The Doughnut Vault
This morning my work buddy, Grant brought doughnuts in for our little neighborhood here in the office. These are not just any doughnuts... they came from the Doughnut Vault. From the people who brought you Gilt Bar, the Doughnut Vault makes a limited amount of these melt in your mouth pieces of heaven per day, when they're gone they're gone. So, get there early to avoid long lines. It's worth it.
The Doughnut Vault serves up drool-inducing doughnuts Tuesday through Friday starting at 8:30am until they run out. And on Saturdays at 9:30am.
Doughnut chef, François works tirelessly to create fresh, small-batch homemade doughnuts. For updates on the Doughnut Vault, follow on Twitter @doughnutvault.

Happy birthday, Mom!
Today is Cinco de Mayo, but it's also a very special person's birthday - my mom. Mom, I hope your day is filled with lots of love. Thank you for the endless love & support you've given me over the years. I love you!
This ticket (courtesy of Kate Spade) is good for one of the following:
Dinner and a movie, mani/pedis and brunch, a cooking class at the beloved Chopping Block

Jordana Brewster Home Style
Flipping through the May issue of InStyle on my flight Sunday I came across this piece on Jordana Brewster's lovely home in the Hollywood hills. Such a lovely space - so light and airy. She says that collections and clutter make her anxious. I feel ya. Brewster lives with her husband and notes that decorating with your significant other is "one of the most trying things a couple can do." This I understand.
