Wedding Wednesdays

So I'm going to hop on the bandwagon with Wedding Wednesdays. First topic: the venue.

When I imagine my wedding day, it's absolutely in the fall. We're hoping to secure a date in October 2012 and thinking something lofty and oh-so-Chicago. Here are some of the locations we've been scouting out:

Some very exciting news...

This past weekend was absolutely one to remember. We started Saturday with an early morning walk with the pup, then to the Green City Market. We visited the newly re-decorated Perennial Virant for mimosas and spent time with family and friends, then ended the evening at Websters Wine Bar (an all-time favorite of ours).

The new decor is a little french, a little rustic and a tiny bit industrial. I absolutely love it.

And the exciting news... we're engaged!! We couldn't be happier and are planning for a fall 2012 wedding. The day felt like a whirlwind, so this morning we're relaxing with a nice quiet brunch at home as a newly engaged couple.

Crazy for Fall

I know that everyone says that they love Fall, but my love for Fall runs deep. The clothes, the crisp air, the colors - perfection. It's mid-September and I've got the next two weekend jam-packed with Fall goodness. This weekend the boy and I are planning to grab a PSL (pumpkin spice latte) and head to the Green City Market super early to snag some fall goodies with all of the local Chicago chefs. A trip to the apple orchard and some college football tailgating are also in the plans.

Missoni for Target

I was well aware of the Missoni for Target line launching today, but instead of lining up at 8am I opted for coffee and walking the dog first. I got to my local Target at around 9am. It was pure madness. Women were running around the store with two shopping carts piled high! Not sure if they even really knew what they were purchasing. Anyway, I grabbed a couple goodies (what I could salvage after the mob) and headed out. Still not even sure what I'm keeping. Let me know if you're interested in anything.

To the Bachelorette

Happy Monday! This past weekend I spent the night out on the town in honor of a very good friend's bachelorette party. I think she had a pretty good time - I know we all did! One month from now we'll be in Napa celebrating the wedding!

Zara goes glam

Zara has really impressed me with their Fall line. Leather, metallics and sequins give a crazy glamorous feel, this stuff screams girls night out! I may just have to invest for an upcoming bachelorette party...
